Principal’s Assembly Message 13 April 2026

Hard Work and Perseverance pay off

The simple truth that never changes no matter where you are and what you are aiming for: Hard work and perseverance DOES pay off! Not always immediately…but eventually.

We live in a world of instant gratification, quick results, Instant feedback, overnight success. But the reality is that anything meaningful – anything that truly lasts – is built slowly, through effort that often goes unseen.

Behind every success story is a long stretch of quiet, consistent effort – days when it is hard, when motivation was low, when giving up would have been easier.

That’s where perseverance comes in. Perseverance is choosing to keep going when progress feels slow. It’s showing up when you don’t feel like it. It is doing the work when no one is watching.

Some of you might feel that your hard work isn’t paying off yet. Maybe your marks aren’t where you want them to be. Maybe you didn’t make the team. Maybe things just feel tougher than expected. But don’t confuse delay for denial.

Growth is happening – even if you can’t see it yet.

So keep going

Keep working

Keep showing up

Because one day, what feels hard now, will be the very that you are proud of.

PRAYER

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for giving us all talents, gifts and passion to achieve…whatever it might be. Help us to never take any of it for granted. Help us to pursue our dreams with hard work and perseverance and if and when we do achieve it, that we will accept it gracefully and with a thankful heart.

Please bless us during this upcoming week and help us to work hard and appreciate what we have.

AMEN
