Romans 8:31 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Now this is not supposed to be an arrogant statement that we should be throwing around, trying to tell everybody that nothing in our lives will go wrong. It is to tell you that we can quietly but confidently believe in ourselves in pursuit of our goals and dreams. What it also means is that God WANTS us to succeed in the plan He has for us…meaning that God is determined that we succeed. If God is in the process – we are destined to win. Just think about that for a moment.

As jy nie ‘n bydra maak of insette lewer nie, is daar niks wat kan verbeter nie, geen groei wat kan plaasvind nie en daar gaan verseker geen prestasies plaasvind nie. Die belangrikste is dat daar AKSIE moet plaasvind.
When you go to these water parks with all the slides, you get these mild and easy rides & slides, but then there is always that ONE slide which is the highest and has almost a vertical drop, very scary, but if you haven’t gone down that one, you haven’t had the full experience…In life and at Hermanus High School, you will NEVER get the full experience, if you don’t get stuck in and involved in all the many activities we have on offer.

And what an amazing event it was with the full force of the HERMIE MAGIC on display. In Luke 12:48 it says “to whom much is given, much will be required” which means that we will be held responsible for what we have. If we are blessed with talents, knowledge and time, it is expected that we use these well to glorify God and benefit others.
Keep chasing your dreams, work hard and when the time is right, you will be rewarded because…”if God is for us, who can be against us”.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for all the talents and opportunities that you have given us. Thank you for blessing us with so many opportunities to go and express ourselves and to experience the thrill of taking part, whether it is practicing, playing matches, rehearsing or just serving the community. Help us to experience and fulfil your all-inclusive plan for our lives.
Thank you for this wonderful school and all 1020 individual learners in this school, as well as the 50 teachers and 25 non-teaching staff. We are blessed beyond measure, and we give you all the glory.
