ONDERHOOF | DEPUTY PRINCIPAL

Die Hoërskool Hermanus is op soek na 'n dinamiese en passievolle onderwyser met leierseienskappe en bestuurservaring om 'n vakante Onderhoofpos te vul. As u deel wil word van die Hermanus Bestuurspan, volg die skakel vir meer inligting oor die pos, asook die stappe om te volg om aansoek te doen.

MINIMUM VEREISTES:

  • ‘n Toepaslike tersiêre kwalifikasie.
  • Minimum van vyf jaar onderrig-ervaring op hoërskoolvlak – Graad 12 vlak ingesluit. Ondervinding as NSS-nasiener is nie 'n vereiste nie, maar sal tot voordeel strek.
  • Wees ten volle tweetalig. Bewese bevoegdheid in Afrikaans en Engels is 'n voorvereiste.
  • Ervaring in professionele leiersposisies op hoërskoolvlak bv. (waarnemende) Adjunkhoof, Hoof van Dissipline, Hoof van Akademie, Departementshoof, Graadhoof ens.
  • Bestuurs- en organisatoriese vaardighede bv. Vakhoof, Hoof van Sport of Kultuur ens. Verseker dat werksladings gelykmatig onder the personeel verdeel word.
  • Vakspesialis met bewese sukses op Graad 12 vlak.
  • Kennis en ondervinding van die bestuur van interne en eksterne eksamenprosesse sal tot u voordeel wees.
  • Entoesiastiese deelname aan en ondervinding in die buitemuurse bedrywighede van die skool.
  • Ervaring in Finansiële bestuur sal voordelig wees.
  • Informasie en Kommunikasie Tegnologie vaardighede: vaardigheid in MS Word, Excel en Power Point.
  • Ervaring in interaktiewe/afstands en e-leer prosesse asook in epos en audio-visuele kommunikasie toepassings.
  • Goeie administratiewe vaardighede: ervaring in administratiewe sisteme van die Onderwys Departement asook ervaring in die onderwys- en arbeidsbeleide en wetgewing.
  • Aanpasbaar in terme van skoolverpligtinge en na-uurse verpligtinge (moontlike naweek en vakansie werk). 
  • Om die Skoolhoof en die HoD by te staan in die hantering van dissiplinêre sake/konflikhantering rakende leerders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum five years teaching experience at high school level, including teaching at Grade 12 level. Experience as an external NSC marker is not a requirement but would be beneficial.
  • Be fully bilingual. Proven competency in Afrikaans and English is a prerequisite.
  • Provide professional leadership within the school. Leadership experience e.g. (Acting) Deputy Principal, Head of Discipline, Head of Academics, Head of Department, Grade Head.
  • Managerial and organisational skills e.g. Subject Head/Head of Sport or Cultural activity etc. Ensure the workloads are equally distributed amongst the staff.
  • Be a subject specialist and have proven success teaching at Grade 12 level.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing internal and external examination processes will be beneficial.
  • Be enthusiastic, have the ability to add value and have experience in the extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Experience in Financial Management will be beneficial.
  • Information and Communication Technology skills: competency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience in interactive/remote e-learning processes.
  • Competency in email and audio-visual remote communication applications.
  • Strong administration skills: experience working with the administration systems of the Education Department, as well as experience in education and labour policies and legislation.
  • Be flexible regarding school obligations and after school hours (weekend and holiday work expected).
  • To assist the Principal and HoD in handling disciplinary matters /conflict management pertaining to learners.
